Conservatory Insulation Solutions provides conservatory roof insulation across Belfast, fitting insulated conservatory ceilings and insulated roof panels for homes right across the city. If your conservatory is too hot to sit in by mid-morning in summer, too cold to use from October onwards, and too loud to hear the telly when it rains, that’s exactly the problem we fix. We’re a Northern Ireland firm based in Killinchy, Co. Down, so we’re never far away. Call Nick on 07734 176473 for a free quote.

Belfast conservatories we see most often

A lot of the conservatories we’re asked to look at in Belfast were added in the 1990s and 2000s, often with a polycarbonate roof. They’re on the back of semis in east and south Belfast, on newer estates out towards Dundonald and Newtownbreda, and on the end of red-brick terraces where the conservatory has become the main way into the garden. Plenty of them are open to the kitchen or living room, so when the conservatory overheats or goes cold, the rest of the downstairs goes with it.

Belfast’s weather doesn’t help. Damp, grey days are common, the rain comes in off the Lough and the Belfast Hills, and on the odd bright summer day a polycarbonate roof turns the room into a greenhouse. An insulated roof evens all of that out.

Areas we cover in and around Belfast

We work across the whole city: north, south, east and west Belfast, including Castlereagh, Knock, Stormont, Dundonald, Newtownbreda, Malone, Finaghy, Andersonstown, Balmoral, Cavehill, Glengormley and Newtownabbey. We also cover Holywood, Dunmurry and the roads out towards Lisburn and Carryduff. If you’re not sure we come to you, just ask.

Work we’ve done in Belfast

Belfast: insulated ceiling

This conservatory took up a big share of the downstairs and was open to the house, so the whole home overheated in summer and went cold in winter, and rain on the polycarbonate roof was a constant distraction. We fully insulated the roof and fitted our uPVC cladding in a day. See this Belfast project

Belfast: Firestone rubber roof

Fitted in one sunny day. The customer had just moved in and could only manage a morning coffee in the conservatory before it got too hot, and she wanted to protect a new sofa from fading. The rain noise has gone too. See this Firestone roof project

Castlereagh: insulated ceiling

A conservatory that was too hot in summer and freezing in winter, now a room the family can use all year as a TV room, playroom or quiet space. See the Castlereagh project

Ceiling, panels or both?

There are two main ways we insulate a conservatory roof, and we’ll tell you honestly which suits yours.

  • Insulated ceiling: fitted entirely from inside. We insulate under your existing roof and finish it with white uPVC cladding, so the room keeps its shape and the outside looks almost the same.
  • Insulated roof panels (Thermo Panels): we take out the polycarbonate or glass panels and replace them with insulated panels. They’re similar in weight to polycarbonate, so your frame doesn’t need strengthening, and you can keep a panel or two clear as skylights.
  • Both together: panels outside and an insulated ceiling inside give you a fully insulated roof and the biggest cut in rain noise.

How it works

We know most people want all the information first, before anyone comes out to see them. So that’s how we do it.

  • 1. Get in touch. Call or text 07734 176473, message us on WhatsApp, or use our enquiry form. A few photos of the roof from inside and outside help a lot.
  • 2. Get your quote and all the information. We’ll go through the options, the price and how the work is done over the phone or on WhatsApp. Nobody calls round unless you want them to.
  • 3. Survey. If you’re happy to go ahead, we then come out and survey your conservatory and confirm the details. On tighter terraced streets we’ll sort out parking with you beforehand. If you’d rather meet us first, just ask for a home visit at the start and we’ll arrange it.
  • 4. Fitting day. We protect your floors and furniture, fit the roof and tidy up before we leave. Most insulated ceilings are fitted in a day, and most panel jobs take one or two days.

Belfast FAQs

Do you cover all of Belfast?

Yes. We fit insulated conservatory roofs and ceilings in every part of Belfast, plus Castlereagh, Dundonald, Holywood, Glengormley and Newtownabbey. Call 07734 176473 if you’re unsure about your street.

How much does conservatory roof insulation cost in Belfast?

Insulated conservatory ceilings start from £1,850 inc. VAT and Thermo Panels (insulated roof panels) from £2,900 inc. VAT. The final price depends on the size and shape of your conservatory, and we’ll give you a quote over the phone or on WhatsApp first. All our products come with a 10-year guarantee.

Do you need to visit before giving me a price?

No. We know most people want all the information first, so we give you a quote and talk you through everything over the phone or on WhatsApp. If you’re happy to go ahead, we then survey the conservatory. If you’d prefer a home visit at the start, just ask.

My conservatory is open to the kitchen. Will the work cause much mess?

No. We cover your floor and furniture, keep the work to the conservatory and tidy up before we leave. Most insulated ceilings are fitted in a day, so you can use the room that evening.

Can you do a terraced house with no side access?

Usually, yes. An insulated ceiling is fitted from inside, so we only need to carry materials through the house. For roof panels we’ll check access and parking when we survey.

Nearby areas we cover: Lisburn, Bangor, Newry and the rest of Northern Ireland.
